What really gets you to understand the clothed figure is to draw nudes. There is a collective group that tackles this a couple times a month and I always leave a little more humble for the experience. My draftsmanship and observation skills improved each time. From a every “OK” drawing there are dozens of not-so-OK sketches that are gestural and done in minute poses.
